On the other sideline, Boston College will wear throwback uniforms to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1985 season, which included Doug Flutie’s famous Hail Mary pass against Miami and a win over Houston in the Cotton Bowl.

According to a release from the program, the jerseys “ include numbers drawn to mimic the font worn during the 1984 season and a base layer with a stripe that is exact same as the one the Hail Mary and Cotton Bowl uniforms.” The jerseys will also have “vintage BC logos” on the shoulder pad to “mimic the placement of the Cotton Bowl logos.”

The Nov. 21 is the 23rd in the series, which is known as “The Holy War.” The Fighting Irish lead the series 13-9 and have won the last four matchups between the two programs.

The game is the first football game played at Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, since Dec. 1, 1968.
